Amazon defies ADA law via "AI" decisions to force disabled workers to Return To Office.

Amazon also used perversion of rules calling it "solicitation" when disabled employees advocated together in internal channels. Another flavour of union busting with ableist eugenics combined.

ARS TECHNICA - RFK Jr. barred registered Democrats from being vaccine advisors, lawsuit says - The health department said Kennedy stands by his CDC reforms. Beth Mole – Jul 8, 2025 5:53 PM Under Kennedy, to qualify to be on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's nationally influential and historically apolitical ACIP, candidates had to be registered as a Republican or independent and could not have any history of publicly criticizing President Trump or Kennedy, the lawsuit claims. Just two days after dismissing all 17 ACIP members—who had all gone through an extensive vetting process that lasted up to two years—Kennedy announced eight new members. One later dropped out during last-minute financial vetting the day before an ACIP meeting. Of the remaining seven, only one has the scientific and medical qualifications described under ACIP's charter.
Government Executive - VA backs down on mass layoffs, will cut 30K through attrition only Following significant pushback, VA is reversing course on its plan for widespread RIFs while still promising some staffing reductions. July 7, 2025 04:34 PM ET While VA said it would not implement a "large-scale" or "department-wide" RIF, it did not rule out using more targeted layoffs. Pete Kasperowicz, a department spokesperson, clarified, however, that there would not be any reductions beyond the 30,000 currently planned. The original plan was met with widespread concern and some bipartisan pushback. VA was until recently still moving forward with its RIF plans, even signing a $700,000 contract with the Office of Personnel Management for assistance in the mass layoff process.
CIDRAP - Analysis shows 2023-24 COVID vaccine offered strong protection against critical illness - Stephanie Soucheray, MA June 26, 2025 Protection highest 2 months after shot. During 7 to 299 days after vaccination, vaccine effectiveness (VE) was 29% (95% confidence interval [CI], 25% to 33%) against COVID-19–associated hospitalization, and 48% (95% CI, 40% to 55%) against COVID-19–associated critical illness. But when looking at the first 2 months following vaccination, VE was much higher. VE against ED and UC encounters was 49% (95% CI, 46% to 52%). VE against hospitalization was 51% (95% CI, 46% to 56%), and it was 68% against critical illness (95% CI, 56% to 76%). By 180 dates after vaccination, however, VE waned considerably, to -7% and -4% for ED/UC visits and hospitalizations, respectively.
Avoid scams targeting people looking for remote work.
FTC How to avoid work-from-home job scams By BCP Staff June 24, 2025 Don't pay for the promise of a job. Honest employers will never ask you to pay to get a job. Anyone who does is a scammer.
Getting your money seems to be a common goal of sketchy job offers, so it's the top red flag for not getting derailed into something bogus, but there are others that the FTC lists. And sometimes the goal is to get people's personal information. Scams can also happen on well known job websites with scammers impersonating well known companies.
Republican politicians have been using "natural" catastrophes for eugenics purposes.
Of course the Republicans are using weather now the same way they used the pandemic. It couldn't be more obvious. They openly talk about their "demographic" concerns. By not mitigating catastrophes, they know that such events hit non-white people harder, and they’re willing to sacrifice some white children, even in their own families, in the hopes that more non-white people will suffer and be wiped out. This is why they defund public health, the weather service, and other public goods, even though it hurts a lot of people, including white people.
This is why when they claimed that Democrats were controlling the weather, or using covid in some dark plan; it was all Accusation in a Mirror. It's rather obvious when you look at that and the rest of it in the Project 2025 document, together as a whole agenda.
My letter to reps:
I want the weather service to be fully funded. This attempt by politicians to destroy public infrastructure for health and safety is unacceptable.
Please feel free to copy or repurpose for your own letters to reps.
Conservatives are being tricked.
If you were wondering why republican voters seem to persistently believe things are looking up. It’s because of the media they consume, and Trump administration officials mislead them, and many have no reference point to discern that they won’t be getting 8k covid checks, that hospitals aren’t doing terrible stuff, and that they’re not getting a concierge medical service like the wealthy use for $75 per month and no, that’s not in the big boondoggle bill.
