I’m sorry to say this is a big frustrating, however, I knew 4 years ago that the Antonine Plague raged on for at least a decade if not 20 years.
The same things that could stem the pandemic’s effects are what we knew before. And yet, so many people and places do not do it.
But at least there are now NO shortages of N95s and HEPA filters. We could do this.
Disclosure: I am NOT receiving any compensation to promote HEPA filters, N95s, or any other PPE or products. A major pet peeve of mine is not knowing if someone’s being paid to promote various and sundry items, many not proven safe or effective, some are reasonable, others dubious. So let’s all normalize making disclosures like this one way or another, when we mention salable products on social media, blogs, or forums. That way we can discourage failure to disclose.
Teams Human Newsletter has never had anything behind a paywall, and I don’t intend there to be. Though at some point I may need to restrict comments on this. So far that hasn’t been an issue as I have less than 500 subscribers. I really have no incentive to track metrics though, as I’m not selling to advertisers. I just hope information reaches those who are interested and want it. Because I know relevant information is truly nerfed and even shadowbanned in the SEO of all the platforms. So it makes it very hard to even be noticed if you’re not willing to use anti-vax clickbait and buzzwords and otherwise really game the system. I write more about that and on online trickery and the internet of fakes, as well as political issues and my concerns about the “AI hype” on my other substack newsletter.
And if you want to support my work (and my veterinary bills yikes), you can pay-subscribe to either this newsletter or my other one, and if you subscribe to one I can add you to both even if it’s just for comment / badge. And if you don’t want to do it through substack, I have set up a Patreon, and the same applies I’ll add the substacks. Thank you paid subscribers past, present, and future. (FYI: Proceeds from last year went toward purchasing a decent microphone.)
Also, FYI, ICYMI, on Substack there are options on your profile where you can go down the list and choose to hide subscriptions if you don’t want people to know what you subscribe to (per subscription, hide some not others etc.), and also if you scroll down to the bottom you can toggle to make your likes private on your profile too. Just something I imagine people don’t know is possible. (Anyone doing hate-subscribing probably should want to hide that. lol.)
And here is my pandemic memes collection:
best wishes for the coming year
