Anti-mask was always a dark money campaign, fueled by business interests, and promoted by a partisan Republican agenda for right-wing virtue signaling.

Pardon me! The battle against masks has been fought and won during the last 4 years of a Democrat presidency. It is impossible to call any party wholly owned by business interests "democratic." Almost all of my politically "blue" friends (and that means almost all of my friends, period) have become just as intolerant of masks as they used to be of those who refused to mask. The battle has been won by the uniparty.
If you really think both parties are exactly the same I suggest you pay attention more closely. There's a huge gulf between passive abandonment and active aggression.
